Plant a Seed, Read at the North Haven Library
Grow your imagination this summer with Plant a Seed, Read! Join us for a season of reading, discovery, and community. Adults (18+) are invited to read, explore, and enjoy engaging activities all summer long, from book discussions and creative challenges to relaxing library programs designed to spark curiosity and connection. Whether you’re diving into a new genre, revisiting old favorites, or simply looking for a fun way to stay engaged this summer, there’s something for everyone.

Adult Summer Reading runs from Monday, June 22nd through Friday, August 14th.

Adults ages 18+, open to residents and non-residents

Once you get the app, find our library's site by searching "North Haven Memorial Library."
Sign in or create an account and you'll be good to go.

Want to participate with a paper copy instead?
Stop by the Adult Service Desk to get a copy starting on June 20th at the Summer Reading Fest.
How to Participate:

Adults may register for a paper copy starting on June 20th at the Summer Reading Fest, OR you may preregister online with the Beanstack App starting on June 1st.

A staff member will assist you in signing up and answer any questions you might have at the time of registration.
The Rules are Simple:
​1. Register and pick up your Summer Reading sheet.
2. Complete each tasks and mark them off.
3. Each item can only be used to complete one box.
4. For every section you complete, you will earn five raffle ticket toward a prize option.
5. Enter your tickets to win for one of seven prize baskets options.
6. All participants will be entered in for a chance to win the grand prize $100 gift card to Ludal's Italian Restaurant.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our goal this year is to get you reading/watching/listening all the items the library has to offer. Plus, we want you to check out all the great places and events in town!
You do not have to read every day. Although, we think it's a great idea if you do!
Yes. The goal is to familiarize you with the library and our collection!
We suggest visiting the library once a week for Summer Reading to complete as many boxes on your Summer Reading sheet as possible. Always remember to bring your sheet or phone if you are using the Beanstack app!
We can provide you with a new sheet and mark off the sections that you have already collected raffle tickets for. But we highly suggest that you keep it in a safe place!
