Community Outreach Events

  • The Library will table at events or Adult facilities to help residents of North Haven sign up for a library card.

  • Your residents can enjoy:

    • Adult Storytime

    • Sharing Reflections

    • Resources for Older Adults and their Caregivers

  • In small group settings, the Library will visit Adult facilities, such as the Senior Center or Assistant Living complexes, to provide basic technology instructions. These can include:

    • Using the Library’s eBook and eAudiobook collections

    • Navigating our website to utilize our online resources

    • Specific demonstrations of databases can be done if specified ahead of time, such as a Genealogy class or a Job/Career

  • The Library will attend a community wide events, with preference to those that are free. By tabling an event, the Library will bring various brochures and pamphlets about resources and events.

    If space is allowed, the Library can bring examples of materials, such as Yard Games, and set up hands-on activities.

  • In small group settings, the Library will visit Adult facilities, such as the Senior Center or Assistant Living complexes, to provide basic technology instructions. These can include:

    • Safety online

    • Basic iPhone/Android instruction
